Local attractions

Perfect for family holidays, the Lizard peninsula is unique in its outstanding beauty and the special flora of the cliff-tops and downs. Walkers and those with a sense of adventure can enjoy the coastal paths and beaches just as much as those who want the traditional seaside beach holiday with sun, sea and sand.

Roskilly's Dairy Farm

Roskilly’s Dairy Farm

Roskilly's have had Jersey cows at Tregellast Barton, since 1960 when they had 40 acres and 30 cows. And although the farm's now grown to 200 acres and the herd's over 100, they're still Jerseys, and their milk's still ideal for turning into ice cream. They’ve never used pesticides or artificial fertilizers, which is why their land and their herd have been certified fully organic by the Soil Association since 1995. You can tour the farm, watch the cows being milked and enjoy wonderful walks... and why not sample the ice cream?!

National Maritime Museum Cornwall

With interactive displays and special changing exhibitions, the museum offers a unique insight into our maritime history and the importance of it to Cornwall.

The Museum's collections consist of a range of objects, boats, art, books and archives. An important element of this collection is the material relating to the Falmouth packet ships which includes six watercolours by Maltese artist Cammillieri.

The National Maritime Museum Cornwall is also the home for the Royal Society of Marine Artists Diploma Collection, which consists of around 100 works of art. The pictures are used to support the special exhibitions programme.
