‘HALLOWEDEN’ AT EDEN PROJECT
Take the whole family to the world famous Eden Project between 23rd and 31st October and let them loose in a spooky puzzle trail, potion making workshop, owl display and wonderfully creepy live show. The biomes will be specially dressed up for Halloween and you never know what you might find lurking amongst the plants and trees!
SUP BOARDING ADVENTURES

What could be better than exploring the secret caves and hidden coves of the Cornish coast by water? SUP boarding is a gentle yet invigorating way to cruise around and, though conditions are more frequently suitable in the summer months, Cornwall sees many glorious days throughout the autumn and winter and, with the right wetsuit and an adventurous attitude, you can beat the elements and enjoy exploring during the quieter seasons.

A WILD CHRISTMAS AT NEWQUAY ZOO
Newquay Zoo is always a fun-filled day out for all the family. It’s a place to roam, discover, explore and get in touch with nature, and with skate park ‘Concrete Waves’ next door, if they’ve got any energy left you can let your own little animals go wild on the ramps. As well as a wonderful variety of happy and fascinating creatures, there are rumours that a certain jolly, bearded chap in a red suit may be visiting this December….
POLURRIAN ‘WOODFIRED SESSIONS’

Taking place every Sunday in the beautiful surroundings of the ocean-view Vista Lounge, the Woodfired Sessions are a live music event featuring performances from some of the south west’s brightest up and coming artists as well as established local legends. With a deliciously tempting menu of dishes cooked in our woodfired oven, and an impressive range of drinks, including signature cocktails, this is the only way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Entry is free, but if dining then booking a table is strongly advised.
FLAMBARDS THEME PARK
When the children are pleading for some thrill-seeking, Flambards is one of Cornwall’s most popular family day visit attractions with rides for everyone, family fun, indoor attractions and entertainment. Visit the award-winning and unique indoor attractions including The Victorian Village and Britain in the Blitz life-size re-creations and enjoy some top rides including the newest ride ‘Sky-Force’. Flambards theme park is located in Helston, just up the road from Polurrian.
‘MURDER MYSTERY’ WEEKENDS AT POLURRIAN

Themed Murder Mystery events at Polurrian have been a roaring success and 2023 has seen weekends such as ‘A Titanic Story’ and ‘Hotel 1921’ attract super-sleuths and amateur detectives to wrack their brains to solve the riddle and find out ‘whodunnit’. With more events, ‘The Speakeasy Murder’ on Friday 3rd November, ‘A Very Dickensian Murder’ on Sunday 10th December, and many more in the pipeline, now is the time to book your place. These weekends are quite simply, immense fun, full of cocktails and conundrums!
CHRISTMAS AT MOUSEHOLE
Cornwall famously has no shortage of picturesque harbours, but there is something about the small yet stunning fishing port of Mousehole that lends itself to Christmas! Every festive season, the harbour walls, boats and stone steps are adorned in a twinkly covering of colourful lights, and visitors flock to immerse themselves in Christmas spirit, admiring and photographing the display while enjoying a warming mulled wine from one of the cosy, historic harbourside pubs.

Winter sees the best swells arriving on the Cornish coast, and we are fortunate to have many sheltered beaches around the Lizard that offer great conditions for beginners and improvers. Cornwall’s mining history is vast and the county was once of the richest mining locations in the whole world. Learn all about it and get a taste of what life was really like for Cornwall’s tin miners at the breath-taking Geevor Mine, a family friendly, award winning, heritage attraction, learning centre and hands-on museum.
