New Owner, and Capital Investment for Polurrian on The Lizard
Lincolnshire businessman, Andrew Long, who has holidayed with his family in Cornwall for over three decades, has completed the purchase of his favourite hotel, the Polurrian on the Lizard!
Travel Sector Property Limited (TSPL) (of which Andrew Long is the Principal Director) has concluded its off-market acquisition of Hotel Polurrian Limited, owner of the freehold interest in Polurrian on the Lizard and its surrounding 12 acres of grounds, inclusive of part of the Polurrian Cove beach.
Andrew said: “We are delighted to have acquired the Polurrian, which has many happy memories for my family and I since we first discovered this wonderful location some 32 years ago. We are proud to own this iconic hotel and to further endorse our Cornwall connections, with regular visits for business and pleasure each year”.
This is a going concern transaction and all employees at the Polurrian, including the General Manager, Grant Callaghan, will continue to be employed.
Andrew Long has some 35 years of property and operational experience in the hospitality and roadside services sectors, and has a number of exciting plans for further investment in the Polurrian to enhance the existing facilities.
The Polurrian first opened in 1912, and with its exceptional elevated location with views across Mounts Bay and Mullion Island, and with a dedicated team of experienced staff in all departments, we have built an excellent reputation both nationally for holiday guests and within the local community, which Andrew Long and the on-site management team plan to further enhance.
