Experiences make memories. Whether you’re after adventure or relaxation this autumn, be inspired with our selection of the best experiences that the Polurrian has to offer.

Lizard Adventures
Whether you are looking for a gentle introduction or a complete adrenalin rush, all activities on offer will give you memories that last a lifetime. Coasteering, kayaking, paddle boarding, climbing and survival skills are available at various locations on the Lizard Peninsula and in Hayle.
The paddle boarding sessions are suitable for children aged 8 upwards and there is no upper age limit! Younger children are advised to choose the shorter sessions in Hayle.
To book, please visit the Lizard Adventures website or call 07845204040.

Marconi Centre
Just a short stroll (20 minutes or so) along the cliffs you can visit the Marconi Centre. Guglielmo Marconi was the first person to send a transatlantic signal from the cliffs above Poldhu Beach. At the centre you will learn how Marconi’s invention lead to some of the most vital aspects of our lives today such as phones, broadband, internet etc. The centre is free of charge to visit.

Dan Joel Surf School
If you want to catch some waves while you visit us, then look no further than the Dan Joel Surf School. Dan is a champion surfer with 20 years’ experience and teaches surf lessons at Poldhu Beach ( just around the corner from the hotel) with all equipment provided.
To book, please call 0797 494 1575.

Roskilly’s Farm
Take all the family to this local, organic Cornish farm. The family have been making their delicious ice-cream, fudge and other products from their beautiful Jersey cow’s for years. The Croust House (Cornish for elevenses) is excellent for a bite to eat too! Enjoy scenic countryside walks and visit the Bullpen Gallery.

St Michael’s Mount
St Michael’s Mount has been home to giants (as legend tells us), monks and now the St Aubyn family. Make sure you check tide-times for the causeway; you don’t want to be caught out by the tide!

The Cornish Coastal Path
Polurrian on the Lizard is ideally situated to pick up the Cornish Coastal Path as it runs through our gardens. You can reach the path in two ways:

By exiting the hotel through the gate posts at the beginning of the tarmac car park, turn right and you will see a gravel track. As you face the sea, going left will take you to Mullion Cove and going right will take you to Polurrian Beach and then Poldhu Beach.

Via the gravel car park, in the far-right bottom corner you will find a gate, go through and then follow the steps down to the path and onto the Coastal Path. Going up the hill will take you to Mullion Cove and going right down the hill will take you to Polurrian Beach and then Poldhu Beach.
