Over the coming weeks, you may notice some activity starting on site here at the Polurrian as we begin the first phase of our long-term redevelopment plans.
We’re writing to keep our neighbours, guests and the wider community informed about what’s ahead. Nevada Construction has been appointed to manage and deliver these early works, bringing an experienced team to prepare the site for the main redevelopment to follow.
What’s happening?
The initial phase will focus on preparing the site safely and carefully. This includes soft-strip and demolition of selected areas, removal of old plant equipment, demolition of the existing swimming pool, groundworks and the installation of new soakaways, along with temporary scaffolding to allow the works to be carried out safely.
These early works are an important step in getting the hotel ready for the main redevelopment phase.
A positive investment in our community
This project represents a multi-million-pound investment in the Polurrian and the wider Mullion and Lizard Peninsula area. Once complete, the redevelopment will help secure the future of the hotel, improving its quality, sustainability and long-term role in supporting tourism and local jobs.
Nevada Construction is also committed to creating positive social value during the project. This includes working with local schools and education providers, offering site visits and learning opportunities, and promoting construction careers, health and safety and sustainability.
Minimising disruption
We understand that construction work can be inconvenient, and every effort will be made to minimise disruption. The team will manage noise, dust and vibration, keep access routes clean and safe, coordinate deliveries to reduce traffic impact, and ensure the site remains securely controlled at all times. Works will normally take place within permitted working hours, with any changes communicated in advance where necessary.
A dedicated site management team will be present on site throughout the works to ensure everything runs safely and responsibly.
Staying in touch
Open communication is important to us. If you have any questions or concerns during the works, you can contact the project team directly at:
