Child friendly holidays

Enjoy a fun-filled family adventure on the Cornish coast.

In the right setting, going away with the children, the dog and the extended family can be a breeze. At Polurrian Bay, we put flawless hospitality at the core of your holiday.

Location and facilities aside, what makes Polurrian Bay an ideal bolthole is our understanding of what you need to relax on holiday. Not only do we offer school holiday activities and stress-busting sea views, this is also the sort of place where parents get to indulge in life’s forgotten luxuries – from delicious cuisine using local ingredients to indulgent spa treatments. We can even organise a babysitter (charged separately) or complimentary baby listening so that you can head off to our restaurant for a quiet couple’s meal.

Family plays a game in the lounge at Polurrian Bay in Cornwall

Our facilities inspire quality family time both indoors and out: children will love climbing on the Crocodilla in our Vista Lounge, and heading out into the hotel gardens to search for Cornish Piskies. As well as indoor and outdoor swimming pools, there’s a play area with swings and a slide, a tennis court, a family cinema and a games room. The whole family – not forgetting the dog – can cosy down in our Snug, which is packed with games, toys, puzzles and books.

Take a look at our spacious double rooms and family suites.

Children’s dining

Here, there are dishes to tempt even the trickiest eaters. A children’s menu is available with a range of favourites, which will go down a storm. We can also heat bottles, bring fresh milk to your room, and provide fresh pureed food from 8am to 9pm.

From 2019, we’re replacing our crèche with an exciting range of children’s activities, from wood-fired cookery and outdoor arts to sports such as tennis, rounders and football. During school holidays, we run a packed programme to engage and entertain children aged five and over (and their parents!).

We’ve also partnered with Lizard Adventure to offer adrenaline-fuelled activities like kayaking, coasteering, paddle boarding and surfing – perfect for making the most of precious time on the Cornish coast.
