If you feel like stretching the legs and exploring some lush and unusual scenery, this walk, setting off from Helston, offers a moderately easy stroll (or bike ride) on a wide, levelled path along Loe Bar, a stunning sandbar separating the freshwater Loe Pool (Cornwall’s largest natural lake) from the ocean. The scenery is a blend of lush greenery and golden sands and the expansive Loe Pool, framed by woodland, is a haven for diverse wildlife. The walk takes you through the National Trust-managed Penrose Estate and offers a tranquil trip amongst nature’s unspoiled beauty.
