At the Polurrian, there’s plenty to entertain all ages, from indoor and outdoor play to spa and leisure facilities.
Spa and leisure
Be energised by an early-morning swim or relax with an indulgent treatment – the Spa awaits. Our facilities include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a hot tub, treatment rooms, a relaxation room, a terrace with loungers, and a gym. Children are welcome in the pools, but we also run adult-only evening sessions if you’d prefer some quiet swim time.
Kids’ Club and baby listening service
Children will have a fantastic time in our Ofsted-registered Kids’ Club. With indoor and outdoor spaces, we have an impressive selection of toys, as well as a sandpit, tepee, dressing up clothes and art equipment. We welcome little ones from three months to eight years and offer a free two-hour session for each day of your stay. Later, when children are tucked up in bed, take advantage of our complimentary baby listening service (available on a first-come, first-served basis) to have a quiet dinner in the restaurant.
Just five minutes away on foot is our very own beach at Polurrian Cove – with buckets, spades, fishing nets and wellies here for you to borrow from reception. The coastal path runs along the bottom of the hotel garden and provides a scenic stroll down to the beach.
Encompassing 12 acres of mature, landscaped gardens overlooking the sea, the grounds include sloping lawns and smaller level areas in which to stroll or take in the sensational views. The hotel’s west-facing aspect means you may well get the chance to watch the spectacle of the sun sinking slowly into the sea.
Burn off some energy on our tennis court, or have a family game of giant chess or snakes and ladders. For younger guests, there’s a playground with a climbing frame and slide, while awaiting discovery is a Cornish piskie garden, where children can look for gnomes and piskies, and try to find their tiny front doors.
Our games room gives older children the sense of independence they crave, with a Playstation, Xbox and Wii games, a pool table and table football. The Cinema Room is used to show family films on most evenings and also hosts children’s Wii game nights on the large screen. If you fancy some quiet family time, the Snug is a cosy nook complete with board games, puzzles and books.
